Specified Commercial Transactions Act disclosure

Last updated: 2026-05-14

The Specified Commercial Transactions Act (特定商取引法) disclosure is available in Japanese at /tokushoho.html. The statute governs the Japanese-language version, so jpcite does not publish an authoritative English translation. The following is a non-authoritative plain-English summary for due diligence; the Japanese page prevails on any discrepancy. For questions, email [email protected].

Defective service & contract nonconformity

If the service has a material nonconformity (monthly API availability below 95%, duplicate payment processing, application of a rate different from the contract, etc.), the user should contact [email protected] within a reasonable period (in principle within 30 days) of discovering it. We will then, despite the return-policy provision above, refund all or part of the fees charged due to the defect (a Stripe credit-card refund or a reduction from the following month's invoice), or implement a substitute measure (temporary expansion of the free allowance, public postmortem of the affected scope, etc.). For contract nonconformity, we will correct it without charge within a reasonable period or respond by the method set out above; please contact us within a reasonable period of discovering the nonconformity.
